My passion project is taking pictures. How do you get fantastic images that can tell a story without words? I am far from having digital photography all figured out but my journey is filled with passion. Here are a few attempts at capturing the moment.
This sat in a garage for nine years. I spent this last winter restoring it to a legal driving vehicle just in time for the gas hike! Not bad for a non-mechanic guy…..
The idea for mPP came as I was talking to a friend one night. We were discussing his need for a creative outlet after work and a place to show others what he was working on. Setting up a website seemed like too much work and a thought was born - what if there was an easier way to share your work?
Over the next few months I worked on the design (my specialty) and development of the site. I had been using WordPress for a few other sites and it worked perfectly for the implementation of mPP. Plugins like Sociable, cForms and coffee2code made setting up special features a snap (thanks guys!).
I run my own graphic and web design business, so mPP is both an extension of that and a separate side project. As I worked more and more on the site and things started coming together I got even more excited and worked hard to finish things up. Finally it was ready for beta-testing (thanks for the great feedback beta-testers!). Now the site is live and I’m excited to continue to work on making it a great community blog where passionate people can share their Projects with the world!
